Here at VNTRbirds we can never sulk on the negative for too long before seeing the positive and moving on to continue to do all that we love. So, since we have the pleasure to rant it all out on Sundays for SMH (latest SMH here) we decided it was time to balance out the dark and the light.
With the summer months hovering over Breckenridge ready to drop at any point, the birds are excited to live in tents and sleep on the ground once again. Camping is seriously one of our favorite activities. Venturing off to an unfamiliar place, pitching up the nylon home and hiking the day away. We already got a head start for this camping season in April. The birds left the snow and found themselves in the deserted area of Moab, Utah.
Just a four day trip can really do a make over on your soul. The birds were revived by soaking up Vitamin D in the warm weather. You would think we were mountain goats rather than birds the way we climbed up all the rock faces and peered fearlessly over the cliffs.
If you don’t see yourself getting out and close to nature much, give camping a try. You can go with a bunch of homies, a dog or even by yourself. Either way you will come back with something new: new perspective, new emotions, new knowledge – it’s all good. And who doesn’t love smelling like a camp fire long after the flames were extinguished?
So do it! If you find yourself in Summit County, leave us a comment here or on our facebook – we’ll go camping with you! And boy do we make it fun!
