Last weekend VNTRbirds hosted their Winter 2023 Gear Swap + Sale. VNTRbirds hosts these biannual events every winter and spring at The Pad Silverthorne, and it’s such a great time!

This year women sold their outerwear, goggles, base layers, ski and snowboard boots, lifestyle clothes and shoes, ski and snowboard equipment, and so much more!

A portion of all the sellers’ proceeds was donated to the VNTRbirds scholarship program, The VNTRFUND, which supports women in the outdoors and furthers their outdoor education through mentorships and grants. This gear swap also supported the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, whose mission is to expand the potential of people with disabilities and special needs through meaningful, educational, and inspiring outdoor experiences. Any pieces that went unsold by the end of the day was donated to the BOEC.

The crowds bustled in to in search of good finds during the sale.

VNTRbirds also hosted Buttnski, a local outdoor clothing line that helps people have more fun doing what they love outside, without sacrificing style for performance.

At this year’s event, we raised over $800 to go towards scholarships! We are so excited to get more women into leadership roles in the outdoors with this money.

A huge thank you to our volunteers, Buttnski, sellers, and everyone who attended this event to support not just VNTRbirds, but all women, femme, transgender and gender non-conforming people who are waiting better access to the outdoors. We can’t wait to see you in the spring!
