Robin Van Gyn reached a career high last season with the grand premiere of the Full Moon Film, Leanne Pelosi’s 2-year project that featured the biggest names and most talented women of backcountry snowboarding. She received awards for her part and we stood with our jaws on the floor from watching her fluid riding that makes her style stand out from the rest.
This season released Travis Rice’s newest film, Depth Perception. Travis had invited Robin to join in on the film project, making her the first woman to be featured in one of Travis’ films. And she more than deserved her spot alongside this crew. Her full part from Depth Perception earned Robin TransWorld Snowboarding’s Women’s Rider of the Year award.
She gets deep into the mountains and takes on some of the steepest lines, most of us could only imagine, and still probably not picture it perfectly.
