Dutch cyclist, Hera Van Willick, was introduced to long distance cycling from a young age. Neither of her parents owned cars, so basic travel was done from the saddle of a bicycle. Now, she is grinding out some serious miles and crossing countries. 43 countries down, she feels that traveling by bike brings her closer to the local community of wherever she finds herself. “I do what some people call, living the dream, but it’s not a dream… to me, it’s life” is how Hera describes her ventures.

“It’s not about being the first, the fastest, or the best. It’s about choosing my own path and creating my own trail.”
