Today is an exciting day. Why you may ask? Because today marks one week until the next Burton Darkside Ladies Ride Day at Killington Mountain! A couple weeks ago started a tradition for the years: the second annual Darkside Burton Ladies Ride Day! If you missed it, no need to fret because this tradition is expanding this year – three more ladies ride days are just around the corner.
Our first ride day of the year was small, but the stoke was high. A crew of eight ladies met at Darkside Killington early Thursday morning to layer up and head out to the mountain. What seemed to be a cold day turned out to bring us beautiful temps and sunshine. The mountain, being familiar to some and new to others, didn’t stop anyone from charging hard and laying down some serious turns. After a day of shredding we all headed back to Darkside Killington to do only the next best thing- yoga, eat and craft.
The wonderful Cassandra Madsen graced us with a super relaxing yoga session, followed by some tasty snacks (Billy Langlands, owner of Darkside Snowboards, makes some killer Mac’n’cheese) and a little bracelet making. All in all, a great day with a stellar group of ladies.
This Sunday, Feb 8th, is the second one of the year and the ladies of Burton are coming down! Shredding with friends, potluck dinner and crafts…. If you’re in the area, get yourself to Darkside Killington at 10 AM. Whatever it takes … Make the trip!
