Fishing for Snow || A History of Snowboarding in Nova Scotia from Alexandra Duckworth on Vimeo.
Alex Duckworth, the Olympian from Novia Scotia, Canada takes us back through the snowboard history of her home town of Kingsburg. Mostly know as a simple fishing town, Kingsburg holds claim to multiple professional snowboarders, especially in the halfpipe. One including another Olympian in halfpipe, Trevor Andrew.
In her short film, Duckworth brings light on how few halfpipes there are left in the world of snowboarding. In the past ten years, they’ve declined by 50% in Canada alone due to high production costs. See why Alex thinks they are worth saving.
