Shaping the Snow: Femme Voices from the Industry brings together four dynamic women from diverse backgrounds in the snow sports world for a powerful conversation. These panelists will share their personal stories of motivation and navigating setbacks as they carve their paths in a male-dominated industry. From the slopes to the boardroom, they’ll offer insights into the challenges they’ve faced and how they’ve persevered, broken down barriers, and redefined what’s possible for women in the snow industry.

Whether you are backcountry curious, a seasoned traveler, or somewhere in between, come out to RMU in Breckenridge on Thursday, December 12th and get stoked for the upcoming season. This is great for novice backcountry explorers or a refresher before you dust off your backcountry gear and head out for your first tour of the season.

The AIARE 1 is an introduction to avalanche hazard management. Students can expect to develop a good grounding in how to prepare for and carry out a backcountry trip, to understand basic decision making while in the field, and to learn rescue techniques required to find and dig out a buried person (if an avalanche occurs and someone in the party is caught).
This is a new course offered by VNTRbirds, designed as a review or update for those with prior avalanche education. We highly recommend that participants have Level 1 training or higher before attending. Focusing on refreshing and enhancing your knowledge. The goal of this avalanche refresher is to bring up to date the skills you’ve learned in previous courses.
New participants will master the basics of companion rescue, while returning participants can enhance their skills with advanced techniques and hands-on scenarios. Regularly retaking this course helps you stay updated on the latest rescue practices and gear. Don't miss this chance to improve your abilities in avalanche rescue!
