On January 27th & 28th, Beyond the Boundaries, a women’s snowboard camp created by Christine Savage and Mary Walsh, took off for the east coast for their first event. Mountain Creek in New Jersey held their ladies-only progression camp on the resort’s South Mountain. This top-to-bottom terrain park had just what these girls needed to spend the weekend getting sendy. With a garden of boxes, tubes, a variety of jumps and a high-speed chairlift to keep the shredders going all day long, the progression was fierce. And with the park being ‘private’ and closed off to non-campers, kept the ladies in their comfort zones while still pushing the limit. Coaches included Christine Savage, Fancy Rutherford, Ari Morrone, and VNTRbirds’ team rider, Ashley Giangregorio. The coaches took all these girls under their experienced wings and gave the te incite to body and board control while hitting different features.
