Atita Verghese might have been the first female skateboarder in India, but now we’re happy to say she is not the only one. Still seeing girls in the skatepark is a rare concept when it comes to India, but Atita is out to change that! She is using her own positive exposure to sponsor all-women events to get the ladies ripping around on their own set of wheels.
It is always a true inspiration to see the select women that reach out to their community to strengthen a bond. Atita is now leading up a ‘Girls Skate India Tour’.
