Girls Gotta Run is a non-profit foundation dedicated to empowering and educating women through the sport of running.
Elevate begins focused on Ethiopian runner and Olympic champion, Derartu Tulu. She became the first black African woman to win a gold medal in the games. Back in the same village of Bekoji, Ethiopia, there’s now another girl named Derartu who also has a love for running, but she has a whole girl gang to push her on. Girls Gotta Run was formed in this small village of 20,000 to empower women to believe in what their bodies can accomplish and bring better education.
