To have the confidence and physical fitness to venture into the backcountry is one thing, but to have the knowledge and education to do so wisely, safely and efficiently is another. VNTRbirds urges anyone who wants to get away from the crowds and seek solitude of the mountains to participate in a backcountry course. From snowboarding to snow-shoeing, whatever activity brings you into the wild, remember the mountains are just that: wild.
