Snow Safety Workshop: Trip Planning + Mapping

Join VNTRbirds and Arc’teryx RiNo for a specialized workshop for the winter backcountry traveler! This is great for novice backcountry explorers or a good refresher. Drinks and appetizers will be provided.

This is a women specific workshop. We welcome femme, transgender and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in femme-centered spaces.
WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?

Trip Planning + Mapping:
- Trip Planning Basics – group size, what is the objective, partner abilities, risk tolerances, etc.
- Check the CAIC forecast & weather then cover correlation between the forecast and trip planning.
- Basic digital mapping tools – Caltopo & other mapping resources.
