Backcountry Basics – Purgatory Resort – Durango

Avalanche education is the best piece of gear you can have in the backcountry.
Whether you’re splitboarding, AT skiing, snowmobiling, etc. get the proper knowledge to help you move through the backcountry safely, efficiently and confidently. VNTRbirds tailored this Backcountry Basics course for women who are new in the backcountry. This course on Purgatory Resort is also a great fit for those thinking they are not in “backcountry shape” yet. We will take the lift up and then tour in the backcountry from the top instead of having to start from the bottom. Lift ticket is included with the course.

This is a women specific Backcountry Basics course. We welcome femme, transgender and gender non-conforming people who are comfortable in a femme-centered space.
