ENCOURAGE WOMEN THROUGH OUTDOOR EDUCATION AND ADVENTURE
OUR COMMITMENT
VNTRbirds (venture birds) is a women-run adventure company in the heart of the Rocky Mountains specializing in women-focused outdoor education and experiences.

VNTRbirds brings women-identifying and non-binary riders, who are comfortable in femme-centered spaces, together to build confidence and self-reliance in the outdoors through mountain biking, backcountry skiing/splitboarding, and community meet-ups.
VNTRbirds focuses on holistic learning that’s led by women and for women which encourages them to own their identities as outdoor athletes in a way that’s inclusive and fun.
We provide safer places for learning, mentorship for long-term growth, and forums for community and connection to see more women of all demographics on mountain bikes, split boards, and skis.
Our
STORY
VNTRbirds was born from the shared love of the outdoors, a passion for empowering women, and the desire to create a supportive community where anyone can find their place in nature. We are sisters, Kelley and Leanne Wren, and together we founded VNTRbirds with one simple goal in mind: to make the outdoors more accessible to women and femme-identifying individuals and help them gain the skills, confidence, and connections needed to step into leadership roles.
We grew up in the mountains, where adventure was always just outside our door. Whether it was snowboarding, mountain biking, or exploring backcountry terrain, the outdoors was where we felt most at home. But we quickly realized that the outdoor space lacked diverse representation, especially when it comes to women. We knew we needed more mentors, more role models, and more opportunities for women to thrive in these spaces. So, we created VNTRbirds—a place where everyone can find their adventure, whether carving down a mountain, conquering a bike trail, or simply meeting new friends.

At VNTRbirds, we’re more than just an outdoor community—we’re a family of women and femme-identifying individuals who lift each other up, share knowledge, and embrace the beauty of the wild. Whether you’re looking to take your first step into outdoor adventure, gain new skills, or connect with like-minded souls, we’re here to help you on your journey. Come learn, travel and grow with us.
